October 17, 2024 Business Actors Must Have a Halal Certificate!
Assalamu’alaikum Sobat Halal-Mu
In accordance with the provisions of Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee (JPH), products that enter, circulate and are traded in the territory of Indonesia must be Halal certified.
The obligation of halal certificates on these products is in accordance with Government Regulation Number 39 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Halal Product Guarantee Sector and in the first stage of this halal certificate obligation ends on October 17, 2024.
There are three groups of products that are required to be halal certified on October 17, 2024, namely:
- Food and beverage products
- Raw materials, food additives and auxiliary materials for food and beverage products.
- Products of slaughter and slaughter services
If until October 17, 2024 it is not halal certified, how?
Business actors who have not processed halal certificates through the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) will be given sanctions in the form of written warnings, administrative fines, and withdrawal of goods from circulation. These sanctions are in accordance with the provisions in Government Regulation Number 39 of 2021.
Halal certification registration can be done through the SiHalal application or can be accessed on the ptsp.halal.go.id page and through LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah.
