National Seminar and Halal Consortium 2023 Successfully Signed Cooperation with International Parties

The Halal Thayyib Seminar and the Halal Center Consortium of Muhammadiyah Universities (PTMA) were held on September 5-6, 2023 with the theme Strengthening Halal Thayyib Research Collaboration Supporting the Halal Industry and Welcoming Indonesia as the World Halal Center.
The activity was held at the BAU Hall of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) with seminar speakers namely Group CEO and Founder of Seruai Commerce Sdn Bhd Malaysia Amnah Shaari, Prof. Dr. Nurkhasanah M,Si from Ahmad Dahlan University and Prof. Ir. Ilyas Masudin, MLogSCM Ph,D.
In order to create Indonesia’s goal as the world’s halal center, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) collaborates with Serunai Commerce Malaysia and Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University. This collaboration aims, among others, to support the halal system to get better. Serrunai Commerce is a halal-based marketplace that provides digital data on halal products.
In addition, at the halal consortium event on September 6, 2023, a memorandum of understanding was signed between LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah and The Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University represented by Prof. Ir. HM Nadratuzzaman Hosen, Ph.D as Chairperson of LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah accompanied by Ir. Elvina A. Rahayu, MP Deputy Chairperson 2 LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah. From The Halal Science Center Chulalongkorn University represented by the President Director Mr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan.
Mr. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Winai Dahlan assessed that halal products are not only a commodity for Muslim communities. But halal products can also be quality products for the global community.
For the collaboration carried out by UMM and LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah, it is the first step to establish an online market for the community and collaborate together in the formation and / or improvement of global halal standards.
