Hospital Nutrition Installation Must be Halal in October 2024: RSM Ahmad Dahlan Kediri City Issued Halal Certificate Through LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah

A memorable experience was felt by Muhammadiyah Ahmad Dahlan Hospital, Kediri City, which succeeded in obtaining a halal certificate in the nutrition installation (provision of food and beverages by processing) through the Muhammadiyah Halal Examination and Halalan Thayyiban Study Institute (LPH-KHT).

Based on Law Number 33 of 2014 dated October 17, 2014 concerning: Halal Product Guarantee which is further enhanced by Law Number 6 of 2023 dated March 31, 2023 concerning: Job Creation, the Halal Product Guarantee cluster and its Implementing Regulations in the form of Government Regulations and Regulations of the Minister of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, states that:

  1. Drugs, biological products and medical devices that enter, circulate and are traded in the territory of Indonesia must be halal certified.
  2. Drugs, biological products and medical devices that are certified halal must come from halal materials and production processes that are in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Halal certified categories are not only pharmaceutical products, but also food and beverages provided by the Hospital, in this case by the Nutrition Installation Unit.
  4. The Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Halal Product Guarantee Agency – Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia (BPJPH) has launched Mandatory Halal October (WHO) 2024. The meaning is that starting October 17, 2024, food, beverages, raw materials, food additives and auxiliary materials for food and beverage products as well as slaughter services and slaughter products are products that must be halal certified.

  1. Application letter
  2. Registration form
  3. Legal aspect: NIB
  4. Halal Supervisor Document
  5. Product name list
  6. List of products and ingredients used
  7. SJPH manual
  8. Distribution permit or SLHS (If any)

Halal certification can be through LPH-KHT PP Muhammadiyah.
