LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah Participates in Diplomacy Training for Global Partnerships Batch 2

Assalamu’alaikum Sobat Halal-Mu

In an effort to strengthen diplomacy capacity for global partnerships, the International Relations and Cooperation Institute (LHKI) of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (PP) held Diplomacy Training for Global Partnerships Batch 2.

Located at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, the training took place from November 29 to December 1, 2024. The training was attended by around 80 participants from various circles, including LPH-KHT Muhammadiyah, represented by Ir. Elvina A. Rahayu as the 2nd vice chairperson for Certification and Domestic & Foreign Cooperation.

The speakers presented were diplomats, experts, and practitioners in the field of international relations, including Ambassador Yuli Mumpuni Widarso, Ambassador Priyo Iswanto, Ambassador Bunyan Saptomo, Prof. Dr. Abdul Mu’ti MEd, Prof. Dr. Syafiq A. Mughni, to Yayah Khisbiyah.

LHKI PP Muhammadiyah’s Expert Council, Prof. Din Syamsuddin, said that Muslims need to play an active role in global issues. Chairman of LHKI PP Muhammadiyah, Dr. Imam Addaruqutni, M.A., emphasized that this activity has a very broad dimension. He added that this activity supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) agenda.

Halal Industry Issue

In the implementation of the training, the halal industry issue was included in the theme of the group discussion which was also an introduction to LPH-KHT to the UPP (Unit Pembantu Persyaratan) who attended. Halal-related discussions consist of various ages, from senior lecturers to young people. Although this halal issue is still new to young people, they are very interested.

The main focus of this activity lies in the point of Partnership or cooperation, which is believed to be the key to global transformation in achieving sustainable development. This program is fully in line with the Risalah Islam Berkemajuan that has been echoed by Muhammadiyah, namely realizing Islam that is transformative, humanist, and contributes positively to global dynamics.
