Muhammadiyah Launches Energy-Saving and Environmentally Friendly Air Conditioner

Muhammadiyah officially launched an innovative product in the form of an air conditioner called ACMU (Air Conditioner Muhammadiyah). This product was introduced at the Tanwir Muhammadiyah event in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). ACMU is designed with the latest technology for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, in line with Muhammadiyah’s vision in maintaining the sustainability of the earth.
CEO of PT Green Sinar Mentari, Jaenudin, explained that ACMU adopts the latest inverter technology that is not only energy efficient but also environmentally friendly. “ACMU is a 5-star AC that has high energy efficiency and low carbon emissions. This is in accordance with government standards,” Jaenudin said on Thursday (5/12).
ACMU has been tested in six Muhammadiyah hospitals, with a total installation of close to 1,000 units since 2017. The energy savings recorded ranged from 17% to 26%, such as in Jakarta Cempaka Putih Islamic Hospital (24%), Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital (17%), and PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital (26%).
One of the excellent features of ACMU is the integrated prayer time reminder. Users can choose either a visual display of the prayer schedule or a reminder of the call to prayer each prayer time. This feature is designed to help users stay focused on worship despite their activities.
The ACMU is manufactured in Semarang with local content continuously increasing. Currently, 90% of raw materials are imported, but the company is committed to increasing the domestic component as demand increases. ACMU offers a warranty of up to 10 years – an advantage rarely found in similar products.
This product also has various types, ranging from 1 PK, 1.5 PK split air conditioners, to cassette air conditioners for large rooms. ACMU prices are competitive, with the 5-star 2 PK AC having a more affordable price than similar products on the market.
ACMU products are expected to meet the needs of Muhammadiyah business charities such as hospitals and schools. Muhammadiyah members who are interested in using ACMU can get a discount of up to 10%.
ACMU will be widely adopted in various Muhammadiyah charities. In fact, ACMU is planned to be an official partner in the 2027 Muhammadiyah Congress in Medan. Besides being installed in Muhammadiyah Charity institutions, ACMU also accepts installation in private residences and the general public.
