BACKGROUND

In order to provide halal products for Muslim consumers in Indonesia, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia at the initiative of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia enacted Law Number 33 year 2014 concerning Halal Product Assurance. The implementation of the Halal Product Assurance Law is carried out with a series of changes through the Law Number 06 year 2023.

In response to Law Number 33 year 2014, the Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah has issued Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah Decree Number : 88/KEP/I.O/D/2018 dated Rajab 25, 1439 H / April 12, 2018 concerning: Formation and Appointment of the Management of the The Assessment and Research Institute – Halalan Thayyiban Study of Muhammadiyah of the Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah for the period 2015 – 2020 which was renewed by Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah Decree Number: 3578/KEP/I.0/D/2020 dated  Zulhijah 21, 1441 H / August 11, 2020 concerning: Extension of the Period of  the Head of the The Assessment and Research Institute – Halalan Thayyiban Study of Muhammadiyah of the Pimpinan Pusat Muhammadiyah for the period 2015 – 2020.
